Topics included information on Heartworm, Parvo, Rabies and Distemper. discussion was led by by Christopher Spannaus. Christopher has 4 years of experience as a veterinary technician and went to vet school at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. He only needs to complete a clinical year at a vet school in the USA to become a licensed veterinarian. Chris wants to work in a town that is small enough to really get to know your clients and be a country vet who sees any animal that comes through the door.

June 14, 2013 Agility Course opening
On Saturday, June 15th at 4pm the New Milford Dog Park, (Candlewoof Park) 44 Picket District Rd, New Milford, CT will open it's agility course. The agility course was constructed by members of the New Milford Police and Youth community Enrichment Project (a collaboration between NM Youth Agency and NM Police Department).Grant funding was made possible through the State of CT Office of Policy and Management.
We are very excited to have had the opportunity to receive this gift for our dogs. The Candlewoof Dog Park was already a wonderful asset for our Town but, the agility course makes it even better. New Milford Dog Park is a not for profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to providing a safe and secure area for dog owners and their dogs to play and socialize. New Milford Dog Park will promote responsible dog ownership and community education through our events and meetings.
